Stillwell Channel 4.0.0 is available now.
Channel brings the everyday work of mixing a track into one view. Set the input level, filter what you don’t need, shape the tone, and settle the dynamics. The controls stay in front of you as the track takes its place in the mix.
Start clean, or bring in Tube or Iron when the source needs color. Drive sets how hard you push the selected stage, and Color Blend lets you choose how much of that character comes through. These are Stillwell voicings, each with its own behavior.
The four-band EQ and stereo-linked compressor can change order. Shape the tone before compression, or compress first and make the final EQ moves afterward. A downward expander helps manage quieter noise and spill, with a range control to keep the reduction measured.
Parallel compression and a separate whole-strip blend let you bring the processed sound back against the original. An external sidechain and key filters give the compressor another way to follow the track. A/B, key listen and delta audition help you hear what your settings are doing.
The resizable interface keeps the signal flow, EQ curve and meters together. Channel is built for the small decisions that add up across a mix.
Channel 4.0.0 is available for macOS, Windows and Linux. A commercial license is $59; a REAPER-only license for non-commercial use is $45. The evaluation version is fully functional, so you can try it on your own tracks before deciding.
